It has almost been 2 years since I released the song 'Neon City Murder' and with it I changed my project name to that as well. The song follows a few cops chasing the notorious 'Neon City Slasher', a man with over 40 confirmed kills.
They fail...

Then late in 2016 I released 'Neon City Slasher', which went over amazingly well with people. It even got featured on some big YT channels. With this song I wanted to explore the concept further. I wanted to flesh out the world and characters more. This song is about his victims and the city he terrorizes, hence the more melancholy feel.

Later that year I released 'Neon City Massacre' or 'Tellus' which was a part of an album I was working on, featuring all the major planets in our solar system. This time I wanted to focus on the 'Slasher' himself. What kind of man he is and why he does what he does. He is not well, as can be heard in the intro. I wanted him to be evil, but not necessarily tell the listener why. Perhaps he was beaten as a child by his demented mother? Cliché I know.

Then when the neon filled city of Miami thought it was safe to yet again set foot outside on dark nights, he appears from the shadows and kills yet another young woman. No witnesses were at the scene, but a loud scream could be heard, echoing throughout subway system beneath Miami's busy streets....

With 'Neon City Mayhem' I went back to the past. This song takes place 3 hours before 'Neon City Murder'. Listen to the first song again and we'll have come full circle.

Where will the Slasher go from here? Only blood will tell. Stay tuned!

Every song in this compilation will sound different mix wise. I've learnt a lot regarding sound design since 'Neon City Murder' and I hope to learn even more in the coming months and years.

It's hard to pick a favourite track. This is the only album i have so far deemed as "perfect", where every track, even the intro, is just a masterpiece in its own right. From the hard hitting Perturbator's Theme to the emotional title track, its 68 minutes of perfection. 10/10. connivingkhajiit
